TCPA Consent
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) sets rules for calls and text messages to your phone. The consent you give by getting in touch
Ringing (225) 285-3983, sending the form on this website or handing over your phone number to St. George Mold Remediation in some other way counts as agreeing to hear back about your inquiry. That follow-up can come from this business or from the people working on your quote, and it may reach you by phone, by SMS or by email.
The agreement covers one thing: the mold or water-damage work you asked about, from booking it and pricing it through carrying it out and checking in afterwards. Your number is never handed to other companies for their own sales pitches, and nothing unrelated is marketed to you with it.
Who those people are follows from Louisiana law. Under La. R.S. 37:2158(A)(23), one company may not both assess and remediate mold on the same property, so St. George Mold Remediation, which itself neither inspects nor removes mold, sets up an independent assessment firm and then a separate remediation contractor for properties in the City of St. George. Either of them may be the one who calls or texts about your job.
Texting costs
Any SMS or MMS exchanged with this business can carry the standard charges your mobile plan sets for messages and data. St. George Mold Remediation makes no charge of its own for text messages.
Withdrawing consent
Consent to calls and texts can be withdrawn at any point, by any of these routes:
- By text: answer any message with STOP. Answer with HELP if you need assistance.
- By phone: say “please remove me from your list” during the call. The request is logged then and there, and no further calls are made.
- By email: write to contact@stgeorgemoldremediation.com with STOP CONTACT as the subject.
An opt-out counts whichever of these routes it comes through. Opting out does carry a cost: nobody will be able to chase up a pending quote or scheduled work for you, and if you ask, your file is archived.
Recorded and transcribed calls
An AI voice assistant, supplied through an outside voice-AI provider, answers (225) 285-3983 in place of a person. It collects your name, the number to call back, the address of the property and a description of the problem so that someone can ring you, and calls may be recorded and transcribed to that end. Calls to and from St. George Mold Remediation may also be recorded for quality checks and for settling disputes. Louisiana is a one-party consent state, meaning a call may be recorded so long as one person on it agrees. If you object to a particular call being recorded, say so on that call and recording of it will be ended. If you would prefer not to deal with an automated system at all, use the callback form or send an email instead.
Water still coming in
If you called to report water actively getting into a building, or some other pressing mold problem, reasonable attempts to reach you may continue even after your usual consent has lapsed, so that the job you set in motion can be completed. This limited exception ends when the pressing work is done or when you confirm your opt-out again.
