Accessibility Statement
St. George Mold Remediation wants this website to work for every visitor, whatever their abilities and however they browse. This statement covers the standard the site aims for, the features already in place, the work still to do, and how to tell the business about anything that gets in your way.

The standard the site aims for
The site is built to meet WCAG 2.1, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, at conformance Level AA. Periodic checks use keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader passes in NVDA and VoiceOver, and contrast-checking tools, and any barrier those checks turn up is fixed.
Features already in place
- Semantic HTML: headings in a sensible order and landmark regions for the header, the navigation, the main content and the footer.
- Alt text on images that convey information, describing what each picture shows.
- Colour contrast at or above WCAG AA for body text, headings and anything you can click or type into.
- Menus, forms and other controls that work from the keyboard; nothing depends on a mouse.
- Pages that reflow on narrow mobile screens with all content and functions intact.
- Link wording that describes where a link goes, never a bare “click here”.
Work still to do
Accessibility is never finished. Areas known to need more attention are captions for video (the site has none at present), labelling of form fields with ARIA attributes, and re-auditing whenever pages are added.

The aim is to acknowledge each report within two business days and to fix the barrier, or explain why it remains, within ten business days.

A few parts of the site, such as embedded maps, forms or analytics, may come from outside services. The providers used are ones whose approach to accessibility meets industry standards, but their components sit outside this site's direct control. If one of them blocks you, report it all the same, and an alternative will be looked for.
What the site is for
This website and its phone line arrange mold and water-damage work for properties in the City of St. George. The business does not inspect or remove mold itself, because La. R.S. 37:2158(A)(23) keeps the assessment of a property and its remediation with different companies: an independent assessor first, then a separate remediation contractor.
